Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Roast Potatoes

On their own or part of a dish

On their own or as part of a meal roast potatoes are always a winner!

Par boil, fluff and cook your potatoes as normal.

For the last ten minutes throw a 1tsp of QC in, toss the potatoes coating them all.

Being oil based QC will give the bang to go with the crunch.

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Soup

All varieties

Soups can fit the bill in so many ways, through all seasons of the year.

Sustaining, nutritious, quick, easy and cheap to make, its no surprise that soups are so popular.

If you are making some croutons add QC for the last minute of frying so that it doesn’t burn.

Feel free to add as little or as much as you like of QC at any point of the heating process of your soup.

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Pork Scratchings

Homemade

Start by cleaning and rubbing down the rind you have bought from your butchers, wipe down with kitchen paper. Heat the oven to 180c.

Rub the rind with salt and leave for 30mins, cut into 2cm strips smear with QC  and place on a rack or a baking tray. Into the oven for 20-25mins

Alternatively cook the salted rind as above but toss in some QC for the last five mins.

Warm Bread Rolls

Shop Bought Petit Pan

Using shop bought nearly cooked bread rolls.

Simply give the rolls a quick splash of water, cut the roll length ways but not all the way through.

Spread some QC inside and maybe a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese with some finely chopped onion.

Heat in the oven at 180c for 10-12mins.

Great on their own or dipped in oil or soup.

Mussels

With your favourite Crusty Bread

I’m quite lazy when it comes to mussels.

Although it is very rewarding making your own sauce to steam the mussels in I believe the vacuum packed ready to steam ones out of the supermarket fridges are just as good.

Half way through steaming add 1tsp of QC to the pot, stir though. You can always add more QC to your own bowl before mopping the  sauce up.

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Leftover Mini Pittas

Chicken and Salsa stuffed

Cut several ripe plum tomatoes into quarters and remove the insides, dice.

Put the tomatoes into a bowl along with 1 very finely diced red onion, 1tsp QC, 1tbsp olive oil, 1tbsp copped coriander, juice of one lime, 1tsp palm sugar, 1/2tsp sea salt and a fare few twists of the black pepper mill. Check if it needs more lime or seasoning. Leave to marinade for at least 20mins.

Using normal sized or mini pittas load them with left over meat, lettuce and the salsa.

This fresh tomato Mexican salsa can be used with many meals or a tasty dip with your favourite tortillas.
