Light Bites & Munchies

We all have our favourite ‘go ‘to’ light bite munchie so why not add some Quirki Chilli to yours and see what happens, don’t forget to let us know the outcome so we can share it in our ‘Share the Quirki Love’ section.

Whether you are having lunch or a post pub mash up Quirki Chilli is massively versatile, give a few of the following a go.

• Add to the tomato paste of your pizza
• Cheese on toast
• Fish finger sarnie
• All soups
• Potato waffles
• Egg mayonnaise
• Add to olive oil for a dip or dressing
• Coleslaw
• Mushrooms on toast
• Guacamole
• Baked camembert
• Nachos
• Dahl
• Quiche
• Cheesy chips
• Combine with olive oil to make a dressing for all salads
• Classic tomato salsa
• Tuna mayonnaise
• Bruschetta

This list could go on like Forest Gump’s running but hopefully you get the gist.

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Spanish Prawns

With Ciabatta Bread

Great as part of a tapas menu or on their own.

Using a smallish deep based frying pan add 100ml of olive oil and heat gently.

Add 2 crushed/chopped cloves of garlic, fry for a couple of minutes or until half done.

Add 200g of raw prawns along with 1/2tsp of QC. Fry for 4-5mins until the prawns are cooked through.

Garnish with dried parsley, serve with wedges of lime and slightly toasted slices of ciabatta bread.

Delightful.

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Bruschetta

Using Ciabatta Bread

One of my all time favourite foods.

Take a couple of handfuls of ripe tomatoes, wash them, remove their cores and carefully squeeze out the seeds. Chop the toms to your preferred size put them into a bowl add a good glug of olive oil & white wine vinegar, QC & season.

The ciabatta bread is best sliced 2cm thick and toasted on a griddle. After lightly rub with garlic, drizzle with olive oil, season and top with the mix

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Halloumi Salad

Green Leaf Salad

Whether on the BBQ or on the griddle in the kitchen heated halloumi really compliments QC. The salty essence of the cheese works really well with chilli.

You can also marinade halloumi, try mixing some olive oil, palm sugar (brown will do to), squeeze of lemon or lime and some QC.

Cut the cheese into fat finger strips and marinade in a bowl or zippy bag.

Parma Ham Puff Pastry Twists

Cheese On Toast

Welsh Rarebit

Whether you are making a full on Welsh Rarebit or simply knocking up your favourite cheese on toast, QC is a perfect accompaniment.

I let the cheese melt slightly before dripping some QC on along with a few splashes of good old Worcestershire sauce.
